CKN Research - CKN Tools: TeCFlow - A Temporal Communication Flow Visualizer for Social Network Analysis

TeCFlow computes and visualizes the structure of social communication networks by automatically generating interactive movies of communication flows.

In the first step, the e-mail messages and mailing lists are parsed and stored in decomposed format in a SQL database. In the second step the database is queried to select messages sent and/or received by a group in a time period. In the third step the selected communication flows are visualized graphically in three different views:
